ABE Teacher – Stillwater Area Public Schools

Job Title: Adult Basic Education Teacher Part-Time (One Year Only)

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 9:00-12:30 PM

Job Summary: Stillwater Area Public Schools are currently seeking an Adult Basic Education (ABE) Teacher. The ABE teacher plans and delivers instruction to adult learners who want to improve their English language, reading, writing, or math skills in preparation for the GED test, employment or post-secondary education. The teacher also assesses student progress to guide instruction and establishes individual learning plans and appropriate curriculum for adult students of varying abilities. This position is one year only.

Qualifications:

• A current Minnesota teaching license is required
• Experience teaching adults and working in a team instruction environment is preferred
• Applicants must have the ability to relate well to adults from a variety of cultural backgrounds and with varying skill levels in reading, writing and math.

Salary/Wage Information: As per the SCEA Master Contract, $37.62-$52.25 is the hourly/salary range. See attached SCEA Contract for more information.
